Barge parade

We have been celebrating our Lehde Festival on the last weekend in September for 30 years. A festival that not only celebrates traditions, but also the “village community” that unites us all. The big highlight is our annual barge parade, where we showcase life on the water.

With the round trip through our village, we show on around 40 barges how “life” and “transportation” work here. From the classic hay or manure barge to the fire department barge to the barge with the shooting king, everything is included and is accompanied by music from numerous bands. All the barges are decorated by the Lehd’schen and many Spreewald friends themselves.
