Spring concert with the Vetschau “Melodia Mixed Choir”

On May 18, the traditional spring concert of the choir under the direction of Viktoria Hauser took place in the German-Wendish double church in Vetschau. At the beginning, the recently deceased singer Horst Wilgosch, who was a member of the choir for over 20 years, was remembered.

A colorful musical bouquet of flowers then awaited the visitors – spring songs, songs about love, titles from popular music and a tribute to Udo Jürgens, whose songs are unforgotten and which were enthusiastically sung along by the audience.

Christiane Scholze delighted the audience with her solo singing and accompanied songs on the grand piano, as did Daniel Friedrich and Ina Grontke on the flute. 7-year-old Christina Hauser and 11-year-old Nena Hübner won over the audience with a song in praise of the sun.

Erika Netzeband and Daniel Friedrich, who hosted the program, bid farewell to the visitors with the announcement of the hit song “Wochenend’ und Sonnenschein”. The concert was so convincing that the audience demanded an encore.
