Fotoausstellung im Stadtschloss Vetschau

Photo Exhibition at the Vetschau City Palace

Starting now and through the Vetschau Christmas Market, an exhibition by amateur photographers from Vetschau will be on display in the gallery corridors during the administration’s business hours. Under the theme “A Mood-Filled Summer,” everyone had the chance to share their favorite photo. Administrative trainee Nicolas Bloch helped out by framing all the photos and resizing them. Deputy Mayor Yvonne Schwerdtner welcomed the two dozen exhibitors and visitors. “The last one was the traditional 2019 photo exhibition; now it’s set to take place regularly again,” she said. The winner is determined by ballot and is essentially anonymous, since the photos are labeled only with numbers.
The members of the Vetschau Photography Club made a significant contribution to the exhibition, but children—such as 12-year-old Jesco Mania from Naundorf—also participated by submitting a photo taken with a cell phone. Peter Munzik, a former resident of Vetschau who has lived in Thuringia for decades, also contributed a photo. Heiko Hohmann of the Vetschau Photography Club: “We’re happy to finally be able to exhibit again, and we’d also welcome more visitors—and, of course, new members.” “You can learn more about us and contact us on our website , fotozirkel-vetschau.de.”
