Kino. Kirche. Heimat – Filmabend zur Nacht der offenen Kirchen

Cinema. Church. Heimat – movie night for the Night of the Open Churches

Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025 | Burg Church | 18:00-21:00

On Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, the “Burg verbindet” initiative will bring cinema to the church. As part of the “Night of the Open Churches”, we are organizing a special film evening in the Burg church, followed by a discussion and live music. The moving documentary film “Bei uns heißt sie Hanka” by Grit Lemke will be shown, which focuses on Sorbian/Wendish history, identity and change in Lusatia.

Under the motto “Burg connects”, the citizens’ initiative organizes events and campaigns that strengthen social cohesion and bring people together. The aim is to create encounters that transcend age, club affiliation and origin. The campaign is supported by the Protestant parish of Burg (Spreewald) and Lausitzer Perspektiven e.V.

The event itself will be accessible free of charge. Help us to make this event accessible to everyone. Your donation makes it possible:
